³º Bodom so much. In reality, they sound nothing º ³
³º like each other. It's like saying Mario and º ³
³º Luigi are the same person, mate they're both º ³
³º fucking different. On Mirror of Madness , I º ³
³º don't think melodic death metal is the best way º ³
³º to describe what Norther plays. To me, Norther º ³
³º plays symphonic/melodic black metal. You will º ³
³º never hear any band play music like Norther º ³
³º does. They have their own unique sound and every º ³
³º fan knows that. I love everything about this º ³
³º album. It's perfect in so many ways. Forget º ³
³º about what happened to them later on, here we º ³
³º have a masterpiece. If you don't own this album º ³
³º and you think you know it all about metal - you º ³
³º clearly have no idea. º ³

³º Blackheared the opening track, will give you º ³
³º straight away the idea of how Norther will sound º ³
³º like for the rest of the album. Despite Norther º ³
³º not being a symphonic metal band, they still use º ³
³º the keyboards. They use the keyboards very well º ³
³º and never overuse them. They usually have three º ³
³º or four melodies in each song to keep you º ³
³º entertained. There's one thing you should note º ³
³º about Norther. When Petri Lindroos sings, you're º ³
³º going to be hearing different type of vocals. º ³
³º His vocals are so energetic that you will hate º ³
³º listening to part of songs when he's not º ³
³º singing. He sings so well on the melodies of º ³
³º each song. On Mirror of Madness Petri Lindroos º ³
³º showed his true singing talent. It's definitely º ³
³º one of the highlights of the album, because º ³
³º there's a chorus of Petri Lindroos doing clean º ³
³º vocals. Petri Lindroos ended up in Ensiferum º ³
³º now, this is the song that definitely got them º ³
³º thinking that he is the perfect replacement for º ³
³º Jari Mäenpää. The vocals are the best thing º ³
³º about this album. º ³
³º º ³
³º The guitar riffs are interesting because they º ³
³º sound like the keyboards. The drummer also puts º ³
³º in a lot of effort creating that fast-paced º ³
³º black metal drumming every fan of the genre º ³
³º wants. All members show their true talent when º ³
³º Petri Lindroos isn't singing. As I mentioned º ³
³º before, his vocals will blow you away. You will º ³
³º hardly even focus on the music. When he isn't º ³
³º singing , there's extensive use of guitar solos º ³
³º with drums and keyboards. I don't like to º ³
³º mention song titles at all, but honestly every º ³
³º song sounds good equally. The keyboards are º ³
³º mainly symphonic/gothic elements most of the º ³
³º time , but sometime they sound very folky at the º ³
³º same time. Let's hope Tuomas Planman knew what º ³
³º he was doing unlike people who play random º ³
³º notes.s º ³

³º Norther's music did turn into shit later on, but º ³
³º this album is different. Mirror of Madness is º ³
³º the best to start with if you're trying to º ³
³º become a fan of Norther. This album will remain º ³
³º forever as a legendary melodic black metal º ³
³º album. You got a great singer, choruses, and º ³
³º melodic metal music - it can't get any better º ³
³º than that. º ³
