-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A highly unusual aftershow due to the fact that the majority of tracks performed
are lifted straight from the main Diamonds & Pearls show. The versions performed
differ minimally from the versions played on the main tour, and there is
obviously more crowd interaction and a much looser atmosphere with more room to
improvise. The opening 7 songs (Daddy Pop - Jughead) are exactly as they are on
the main shows. 'Dr. Feelgood' has a horn part replacing Prince's guitar solo
halfway through, and some slight instrumental changes. Both 'I've Got My Mind
Made Up' and 'Kansas City' are obvious aftershow choices, although 'Kansas City'
was also played at a few Diamonds & Pearls concerts. The highlight of the show
is a lengthy beautiful full band version of 'Do Me, Baby' which incorporates
some added lyrics from an unknown (to me) song "wrapped up in your arms" - it's
a rare performance for 1992 and a great version. The show then closes with an
extended jam based around 'Gett Off'. The quality of the recording is slightly
disappointing, although still enjoyable. The crowd level is a rather obtrusive
in a few places and overall the sound is rather muddy. The packaging is
attractive, but missing any info on the show. Diamonds & Pearls tour aftershows
were rather rare things, and this certainly isn't the best of them - but it is
still an interesting show in listenable quality.
