- 'Mal roïn' is a term in the regional language of the Valencia Region in Spain translating literally as 'bad hurt' and referring to a terminal illness or ailment, therefore Malroïn is 'the worst possible thing that can happen to you'.
- Although losely based in black metal, Malroïn play a combination of styles ranging from black to death metal, thrash, punk and other elements in a similar way to Impaled Nazarene.
