     Recording Line-up:
     Varg Vikernes-Guitars, bass, drums, synths, vocals.

     This is a monumental record. Not because of the story
     behind the man that wrote it overshadowing everything
     as it usually does, but because of its early nineties
     zeitgeist and oppresive musical outlook... not to
     mention the great music which is contained within.

     This album sums up Burzum very well in my opinion, as
     it has the awkwardness and inelegancy of the first two
     albums as well as the hypnotic, trance-like musical
     vision that would dominate the albums following this.
     Hvis Lyset Tar Oss sounded so much more clinically put
     together than his previous efforts, boundless and
     unhinged simultaneously with Vikernes ungodly shrieked
     vocal style adding to the claustrophobic sound of the
     album.

     Simplistic, yet thoughtful, reflective and
     philosophical in its nature, this album will no doubt
     thrill and inspire future listeners for many, many
     years to come.
